Pastor Jason Haynes
Jason grew up in California, but always loved the mountains. His personal mission statement is to “reflect the joy of knowing Jesus.” He firmly believes that the grace of Jesus is the hope of our world. Jason enjoys talking about Jesus and pop culture, reading, playing with his three great children, taking walks with his awesome wife, and dominating his Fantasy Football leagues.

Cynthia Holappa
After changing her major from pre-medicine, to English, to philosophy, to chemistry, to math, and finally to education, Cynthia Holappa graduated in 1997 with a degree from the University of Minnesota – Duluth, qualifying her to teach high school biology. And yet, as much as she relished the diversity of her college courses, her true passion has always been music. “I spent hours upon hours playing music when I was a kid. As far back as I can remember my favorite place to be was the piano. There was so much comfort in my isolation there, and in retrospect, I believe God was trying to reach me through music, even back then.” However, in her teenage years she abandoned her faith, causing her to stumble about amongst the spiritually lost for half her lifetime. By God’s amazing grace, and His grace alone, she was saved February, 2003. Today that which she has always loved – music – is used week after week for God in His church. “I truly do not believe I am worthy of such a privilege. And I can honestly say that daily, I stand amazed by His infinite grace, forgiveness, and awesome love.”
Scott Leonard
Scott was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. He graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Health Fitness with plans of being a personal trainer... but the Lord had other plans. After graduation he attended Focus on the Family's Institute for a semester of Family and Church Leadership studies and soon thereafter moved to Denton, TX. to do a discipleship program at Denton Bible Church for 2 years. Soon enough he found himself on Young Life staff for the next two years, started working on a Master's Degree at Dallas Theological Seminary, married Cara, went on staff at McKinney Bible Church, and then moved to Vail. Scott and Cara have 2 children: Hannah Grace (almost 2) and Asher Boyden (born in April) and are enjoying being back on Young Life staff, working with the MS and HS Students in the Vail Valley.
