Our Mission. Our Staff.

Loving Jesus, Each Other, and All People

A member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, Gracious Savior is a Christ-centered, Bible-based community loving Jesus, others, and all people.  It is active in worship, purposeful in Mission, serving our children, and lifting all up in prayer.

We are a vibrant worshiping community that is attracting people to the grace of Jesus and sending people in the name of Jesus.  It is healing the broken, discipling the growing, and equipping the people of God to lead lives of significance in their daily walk with Jesus as they impact their homes, community, and world.

We are a Church defined by service to the world and faithfulness to Jesus.  We are active in ministry, grounded in God’s Word and Sacraments, and resting in God’s forgiving grace.  We are a church raising up children in the knowledge of the Lord and reaching out to adults who don’t know the Lord…yet.

Our Core Beliefs:

  • Christ-centered, Bible-based
  • Worship
  • Mission
  • Children and Youth
  • Prayer

 He is…a powerful Creator…a compassionate Healer…a forgiving God…a resurrected Lord…a Gracious Savior…Jesus

Leadership Team:
Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Jason Haynes
Pastor

Jason grew up in California, but always loved the mountains. His personal mission statement is to “reflect the joy of knowing Jesus.” He firmly believes that the grace of Jesus is the hope of our world. Jason enjoys talking about Jesus and pop culture, reading, playing with his three great children, taking walks with his awesome wife, and dominating his Fantasy Football leagues

Matthew Pontifes
Music/Youth

Matt is from Houston Texas, and went to Concordia University in Austin, where he experienced the grace and love of Jesus. In 2017 he moved to Edwards Colorado, completely open to what God would do with his new job at Gracious Savior. Since then he has served God by leading worship and working with youth.
He loves everything the mountains have to offer: biking, skiing, snowboarding, and the plus is that now he gets to do ministry through these amazing adventures.
Joshua Weiser
Children’s Ministry/Outreach

Josh grew up in a small town called Hutto, Texas (Go Hippos!) and lived in Austin, Knoxville, and Chicago before settling down in Edwards in 2018. He has a passion for cultivating effective spirituality that changes a person entirely. He has experienced the transformative power of God’s love, mercy, and discipline personally in his life, and is committed to “passing it on” to others through authentic Spiritual Experiences. His personal mission is “loving what Jesus loves, doing what He does, and believing what He believes.” He has an amazing wife, Jessica, and a son, Benjamin, who is too cute for his own good.
